Our Physicians

ABAI Board-Certified · Fellowship-Trained

All of our physicians are board-certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) and fellowship-trained in allergy and immunology. ABAI certification requires completing an accredited fellowship program and passing a comprehensive examination — it is the standard of excellence in our specialty.

We are part of Intercoastal Medical Group, one of the largest multispecialty medical groups in the Sarasota region, with offices in Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first appointment is a comprehensive evaluation. Here's how it typically unfolds:

Complete your intake forms Complete your patient intake questionnaires ahead of time to speed up check-in — see the Questionnaires section below. Bring a list of current medications and any prior allergy test results if available.
Medical history & symptom review Your physician will review your history, discuss your symptoms in detail, and identify potential triggers — including environmental, food-related, and medication factors.
Allergy testing (if appropriate) Skin prick testing or other diagnostic testing may be performed at the first visit depending on your symptoms. Testing is quick and results are available immediately.
Treatment plan You'll leave with a clear, personalized plan — which may include avoidance strategies, medications, or a recommendation for allergy immunotherapy (allergy shots or sublingual therapy).

Before your visit

Stop antihistamines 5–7 days before your appointment if allergy skin testing is planned (your physician's office will confirm exact instructions when scheduling). Do not stop asthma medications.

When Should You See an Allergist?

Consider scheduling if symptoms are affecting any of the following:

Sleep quality
School or work performance
Exercise or outdoor activities
Breathing or lung function
Skin comfort or appearance
Diet or food safety

You don't need a referral to schedule with our practice. Call (941) 362-8640 or use the online request form below.
